Energy Psychology (EP) is a family of integrative approaches to psychotherapy, health care treatment and coaching that is rooted in ancient mind-body healing traditions. EP methods blend the bio-energetic insights of these traditions with the best of contemporary psychological practice. Methods include tapping acupuncture points,
stimulating chakras, and biofield work.
There have been over 50 peer-reviewed studies conducted in EP. Eighteen of these studies were randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with 100% statistically significant results in favor of EP (alpha = .001). One of the RCTs was with fifty survivors of Rwandan Genocide showing dramatic reduction in PTSD symptoms after one session of Thought Field Therapy (an EP approach).
